Carlos Silvestre major research interests include navigation guidance and control of ocean (surface and underwater) and air robots; robust multi-model adaptive control; fault detection and isolation; gain scheduled control; integrated design of guidance and control systems; linear and nonlinear control and estimation theory; hybrid systems; multi-agent control systems; networked control systems; inertial navigation systems; Artificial Intelligence techniques for mission control with application to ocean and air robots.
