Section 2: Research Interests and Grants
Major Research Interests:
We are currently working on the development of functional nanomaterials for applications in multimodal biomedical imaging, drug delivery, as well as innovative cancer therapy strategies. Specific projects include: (1) Inorganic nanomaterials for biomedical imaging and cancer theranostics. (2) Polymer-based, protein-based, and other biomimetic nano-platforms for cancer combination therapy. (3) Nanomedicine and cancer radiation therapy. (4) Biomaterials for immunoengineering. (5) Nanotechnology to modulate tumor microenvironment for enhanced cancer treatment. (6) Translational nanomedicine and biomaterials. The ultimate goal is to push our cutting-edge multidisciplinary research into clinical use.
